This figure #3 used by permission comes from the 2003 Australian human clinical trial headed by Ross Barnetson entitled: [Nle4-D-Phe7]-α-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone [Melanotan one] Significantly Increased Pigmentation and Decreased UV Damage in Fair-Skinned Caucasian Volunteers published online in 2006 by the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, volume 126, pages 1869–1878.


With the accompanying caption:
Skin pigmentation with [Nle4-D-Phe7]-α-MSH [Melanotan one]. Subject no. 39 in the low-MED [low UV burn] group (a) before and (b) 60 days after the start of [Nle4-D-Phe7]-α-MSH [Melanotan one] treatment. The MD [tan] of the forehead increased from 1.68 to 2.89, and left cheek from 2.99 to 3.64.
